Terms of Use (EULA)

Welcome to Talkyo. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use Talkyo.

Zero tolerance policy: Talkyo has a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Violations will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Talkyo. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be immediately terminated.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Talkyo only for its intended purpose: connecting with language-exchange partners in a respectful and constructive manner.

You must not:

• Post, send, or share content that is offensive, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable.
• Harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users in any way.
• Impersonate another person or create a false identity.
• Share personal information of other users without their consent.
• Use the platform for spam, advertising, or any commercial purpose.
• Attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the service.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

3. User-Generated Content

You are solely responsible for any content you send or share through Talkyo. By submitting content you confirm that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

4. Reporting and Blocking

Talkyo provides tools to help you stay safe:

• Block: You can block any user directly from their profile. Blocked users cannot contact you and will not appear in your discover feed.
• Report: You can report objectionable content or abusive users from within the app. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

We encourage you to use these tools whenever you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms.

5. Moderation

Talkyo actively moderates the platform. We may review reported content, warn users, remove content, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these Terms. We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Talkyo app and its content (excluding user-generated content) belong to Talkyo. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Talkyo is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful content posted by other users.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talkyo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Talkyo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
